Treatment For Agent Orange exposure in USA

Question:

Mr. Jim,  I'm now being treated for Agent Orange at the VA hospital from Fort Gordon GA during training there in 1979. Do you have any information that can help me filing a claim? 20 bases in the US used, stored, tested it here before Vietnam and Gordon was one of the main ones and it was contaminated per decades as reported. Thanks

Jim's Reply:

To my knowledge and belief there is no such thing as, "treatment for agent orange". Agent orange is not a disease that can be treated, although it may be associated with specific conditions that require treatment. If you believe that you were exposed to agent orange at a military base other than within the country of Vietnam, you must first prove the exposure and then prove that you have a condition caused by such exposure. It appears you have more work to do to prepare any sort of claim.
