Jim Strickland was a Vietnam era Army veteran and nationally recognized expert on VA disability benefits who was also editor and webmaster of the popular VA Watchdog website. Jim wrote extensively about VA and Social Security disability benefits. Before his recent passing, Jim was kind enough to answer questions from visitors on StatesideLegal.org here in Jim's Mailbag. Hello, My husband passed away in March 2019 . Could you please let me know howI can get his decision letter from the VA? Thank you.

I'll assume you mean that there was a claim being adjudicated prior to his death. VA publishes a helpful fact sheet so that you may determine what your options are. Click here for more information.
