Question:

I was the fiduciary of my brother's VA pension. Although my brother has a brain injury and poor to no insight, he told the the VA he wanted to change the fiduciary and the VA disregarded my guardianship of him and removed me as his fiduciary . The VA has horribly mistreated him and does not pay his rent on time although notified. I want the VA out of our life including the VA fiduciary. This person can get their information without seeing my brother.

Jim's Reply:

You'll need to consult with a veterans law attorney who is experienced in dealing with VA fiduciary problems. Removing an appointed fiduciary is a legal challenge and an experienced lawyer is your best bet.
