Question:

I was rated for PTSD in 2013 and now just got my sleep apnea secondary to PTSD. My question is does the effective date of my new rating go back to 2013?  Both are service connected. My PTSD effective date is 09/2013 and the sleep apnea is 05/2020.

The effective date of a claim is the date you file it. The onset of the rated condition doesn't come into play.
