DD 214s

Question:

I seem to have a "hole" in my DD214 documents. I retired w/ 20 years from the US Navy. I have two pages of DD214's. The first is for the first 6 years of my career and the second page is for the last 7 years. It looks to me I should have a document in the middle of those two. If I'm correct,  I should have gotten a page whenever I re-enlisted. In my case 3 pages.

Jim's Reply:

You're correct. Each term of enlistment requires a discharge and then reenlistment so we get a 214 for each period served. You can get duplicate documents here https://www.archives.gov/personnel-records-center

Keep in mind that during the pandemic that the NPRC may not be able to fulfill your request in a timely fashion.
