Thousands of websites offer information for military or veteran families. We find that some are more helpful than others. Here is a short list of ones that we have found to be useful and reliable.

Proof of Military Service

The official records of military service are needed to prove eligibility for many benefits and legal protections.  Veteran service records may be requested by the veteran or their "next of kin" or by an advocate/attorney on their behalf through the National Archives. Confirmation of current military service can be accomplished via the Department of Defense SCRA website.
