Question:

Can my landlord break the lease because he has PCS orders? I am in CO. We signed a year lease that is up in March. My landlord is PCS’ing and wants to break the lease so he can sell the home.

Jim's Reply:

Local laws govern much of what we see happening in real estate disputes so you need to talk with a local lawyer. The harsh fact is that it may be easier for you to work with the landlord and go ahead and move now since it's happening eventually. You may be able to leverage some free rent if you're helpful.
