I applied for DIC but was denied despite my husband passing from Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD), what do I do?

Question

Hi, my husband served in Korea 1966/67 on DMZ. He left Korea December 1967 and he died in 2011 from IHD. I applied for DIC was denied! Under HR 299, will I get DIC? Thank You.

Some veterans who served in Korea are eligible for presumptive benefits because of their exposure to agent orange. The development of Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD) is a benefit that is presumptive to agent orange exposure. Eligibility for these benefits is detailed by VA here https://www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/agentorange/locations/korea.asp.

If I were you, I'd seek out some help from an accredited veterans law attorney who may (or may not) help you appeal the denial.
