Former vet now faces complaints at work

Question:

Greetings. I served In USAR (E5) from 1993- 2001. I broke my ankle and wasnt allowed to re enlist. I have a 0 rating on the ankle. In many cases I'm ineligible for veteran benefits since I never deployed and my active time was only during BCT and AIT. I currently am working as a regional director for an outpatient mental health clinic. I hold a license as a licensed professional counselor. In the past 2 years I have had a few disgruntled employees who have made complaints against my personal license. So far the investigations have been dropped. Do I have any legal recourse? What happens if my license gets tarnished as a result of following my company's policies?

Jim's Reply:

It doesn't sound as if there's any connection between your status as a veteran and your employment. In fact, you aren't a veteran for most benefits since you didn't serve active duty other than for training.
Anything that happens during your professional employment won't have anything to do with your limited veterans status that I can see.
