Question:

My Dad served in the Army in Germany around ‘54, ‘55 ish. He passed away 8/31/2000. My mom is being told she would qualify for assisted living with VA funds. I don’t see how.

Unfortunately, I agree with you. Who is telling her that? She should be careful...there are those who would scam her for pension benefit schemes. If it sounds too good to be true...
