Where do I get a Nexus letter?

Question

I'm having a hard time getting a Nexus letter from a Dr. Today I was at the VA hospital in Columbia, S.C. to talk to a Vascular Surgeon he told me he doesn't write those letters ad I could get it at the VA Regional office down the street from the hospital I went there and was told a DR had to write it this has been going on since Dec 2017. Could you send me a copy of your letter maybe that way they could figure out what they need to do Thank You

We don't use nexus letters as often as we used to. The nexus letter can be an important part of an independent medical exam when provided by a civilian disability expert but in the system doctors are much more familiar with DBQs. Click here to see a list and try asking the doctor to aomplete the appropriate form for your claim.
