Schedular v. TDIU Ratings

Question:

Sir, I am wondering since I am 100% P & T due to PTSD. If I had to go back to work to support my family, what is the likelihood that I will have my benefits reduced.

Jim's Reply:

If you are rated as 100% disabled by The Schedule you are allowed to work as you're able with no penalties. If your rating is less than 100% by The Schedule and you have been awarded the TDIU (unemployability) benefit, you aren't allowed to work at gainful employment. Gainful employment is defined as that which will generate more earnings than the federal poverty guidelines for your region and family.
