I am now eligible for champ VA ( husband 100% service connected)..is this a secondary insurance..I have AARP secondary that I had to drop..went up to high on monthly payments...so will this champ va pay the same as any other secondary ins??? Does most Drs and Hospitals accept this..or is that something I have to find out for myself??

My wife has CHAMPVA as primary...her only insurance. Not all doctors accept it but many do. The same docs that take Medicare take CHAMPVA. All hospitals will accept it, no problems. Thinking ahead is really important. My wife chooses her doctors long before she needs them and then works with the business manager to be very sure about their acceptance of CHAMPVA. She stays way ahead on any medicine she needs. If you do some advance planning and you're careful planning ahead, it is great insurance.
