ADVOCATE VIEW

You have entered Stateside's Advocate View. This means that when you do a search or browse through our Helpful Information Library, you will be viewing more technical information, in addition to the legal resources we post for the general public. Our goal is to index the most useful legal tools available. To exit the Advocate View, just click the Switch to Normal View link in the header.

IF YOU ARE NEW TO ADVOCACY IN THIS AREA

Legal aid programs and private attorneys are becoming important sources of legal help for service members, veterans and their families.  If you are new to this area of law, we have created some special tools for your use.  As noted above, this tab has organized some special reference materials that can be found using the "Advocate View Search" described above.

We also have added two resources that we hope will be particularly helpful as you begin to work in this area:

"The Advocate Tool Kit"  -- a list of important links for factual and legal research related to service members, veterans or their families.

"
Training Tool-Kit"  -- a list of free and "for fee" services and programs designed to help you become a better advocate for service members, veterans and their families. We will be adding to these tool-kits and identifying other important legal resources on an ongoing basis. Please use the Feedback link at the bottom of any page, to let us know how we can serve you better, to submit ideas for new content, or to share comments on materials currently posted on the site.
